Diagnosis: Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome & Diaphramatic Hernia
Services: Gastrostomy tube, walker, and minimal use of ventilator
Cayden was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and a diaphragmatic hernia. He was admitted after being in the hospital for the first 20 months of his life.
At that time, he came home with a tracheostomy and full-time ventilator support along with the inability to communicate or sit. Now, at 5 years old, he is able to speak and has learned a little sign language. He is also able to walk with the use of his walker, a ventilator intermittently when ill and a gastrostomy tube.
We would have peace knowing that we are giving him the best change just by delivering him, we would do what was necessary to help.
