Universal Pediatrics is proud and excited to partner with the DAISY Foundation. Being part of DAISY is the perfect addition to our company in sharing gratitude to all the wonderful nurses that exemplify the core values of integrity, compassion, adaptability, responsibility and excellence to their clients, client families and peers. The DAISY Foundation was established to help thank and recognize nurses all across the world for the excellent care and kindness they provide to clients and families whether they are in a facility, at home, at school or any other healthcare establishment.
The DAISY Foundation was formed in November 1999, by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died at age 33 of complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP). The nursing care Pat received and that his family experienced during his hospitalization was beyond exceptional. The kindness and compassion Pat and his family received will never be forgotten and that is why they formed the DAISY Foundation to make it easy for ALL to thank a nurse who has gone above and beyond to make their client feel incredibly special and provide the highest level of quality care.
